It's 4:45 right now and it's light outside. I could cry with joy. Yesterday for the first time in almost four months I went home while it was still light outside. To have a little slice of daylight that is yours to live with is a beautiful thing. I was curious about how long the days were getting so I googled over to https://www.timeanddate.com. This is a site that tracks times of sunrises and sunsets in hundreds of cities around the world, for every day of the year. Turns out that on average during the half of the year where days get longer, we gain about two minutes of daylight a day. Soon enough EST will end and we will have a whole extra hour of evening sun.
While reading up on sunrises and sunsets worldwide, I decided that I should move to Madrid Spain. Do you know that on the longest day of the year, the sun doesn't set until almost 10:00 pm in Madrid? The sun rises a bit later, 8:30am, but who cares, right? Anyways, the sun is a beautiful thing, ain't it?
