I saw *Friends with Benefits* Friday on the plane--I'd been wanting to see it for a while, and was also exhausted from 4 days of travel, but I thought it was pretty good. Not realistic, mind you--not representative of how anyone on earth actually behaves--but funny and sweet. I really do find that young Timberlake fellow charming.
I think now that I never watch tv, my standards for entertainment have gotten really low.

This is excellent. I have also seen and agree with the above-par-ness of: HP7(2), Bridesmaids, Midnight in Paris, Moneyball. I guess that I enjoyed The Help, Our Idiot Brother, and X-Men more than you did, for me they were close behind the others (in past years, perhaps they may have made your italicized cut?, or perhaps my tastes are becoming decidedly more lowbrow, sad.)
Now resolve to see: Descendants, Crazy Stupid Love.
I probably broke a personal record this past week, watching four movies in four days, and I encourage you to add: Eames: The Architect and the Painter and Hot Coffee (hbogo.com). ( (I also saw 50/50, which was much better than expected, and Moneyball, finally.)
